A Current-Client Review: “My daughter has autism and has seen significant behavioral improvements with therapy at Roya Mayer's agency (1st Stop ABA Therapy) since last year. They have improved her communication skills using eye contact, gestures, babbling and pointing. Our daughter now has less tantrums and behaves more maturely. We have seen improvements in her daily life such as holding hands, wearing socks, tying hair, eating, cleaning and restful sleep. In the summer, she was toilet trained in less than a month. Roya is an experienced BCBA. She has a lot of knowledge about dealing with the behavior of children with autism. She also gave us reasonable training to do at home which helped our daughter with her diet, bedtime difficulties, and behaviors.”

Was fully toilet trained, • wrote a daily schedule, • went walking in the morning, • ate healthy food, • lost weight, • asked to play or dance to music. after 4 months of ABA services with Roya Mayer.

John Doe

Per mother's report, this 6-year old spent hours screaming at night, was labeled obese 18 months prior to my services, and was hitting the family members every chance he got. Despise many difficult environmental changes he experienced throughout services which, caused his behavior temporarily to increase, he made tremendous progress.

His expressive and receptive language improved tremendously.

His latest assessment showed that he developmentally progressed an entire level of Verbal Behavior assessment tool. His VB-MAPP score increased from 38 to 78, meaning he went from having a 0-18 month old skill set (Level 1) to 18-30 month old skill set (Level 2). This kind of progress is usually seen in years, not in 4 months.

About Us
Our Clinical Director, Roya Mayer, MA, BCBA, has been working with people (mostly children) with disabilities since 2004. She left a successful career in 2002, to make a difference in the world helping children. She received her Master of Art in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy (MFT) from Phillips Graduate Institute, in 2005. Her pre-grad internship was at The Early Childhood Parenting Center (an offspring of Cedar-Sinai parenting group) where she gained hand-on experience in Attachment Theory working with infants and toddlers and their mothers under the supervision of a team of MFT and MSW professionals.
In her first job as a case supervisor, working with children with developmental delays she was introduced to the field of ABA and took her coursework at National University. Through the years of work in this field, she has worked with nearly 1,000 children with various diagnoses from Developmental Delays (i.e. Autism, Asperger, PDD, Down Syndrome, Seizure Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, etc.) and Emotional Disturbances (ADHD, Bipolar, Anxiety Disorder, etc.)
She has been highly successful in reducing inappropriate behaviors from severe to mild such as aggressive, self-injurious, tantrum and self-stimulatory or stereotypy behaviors, as well as replacing them with  functional and alternative behaviors.
